National Recognition for new K9 Awareness Centre
New St. Albert Business Gains National Recognition
St. Albert, October 15, 2009 - Kaytie Stack's innovative exercise and training
programs for dogs gained her second place in the national final of the Fab-U-Bliss
Five Pitchfest held last week in Calgary.
The newly opened All Season K9 Awareness Centre at 6 Riel Drive, feautures an
exercise program for dogs of all sizes using specially designed treadmills, and an
indoor off leash area. Individual programs are developed according to each dog's
needs, and activity is closely supervised by Kaytie and her staff.
40% of dogs surrendered to shelters are there because of behaviour issues-
behaviour issues which are often caused by lack of exercise. A statistic K9 Awareness
wants to make a difference in reducing.
"Our passion at K9 Awareness is to deepen the bond between owners and their dogs,"
said Kaytie. "It's a proven fact that all dogs who regularly receive focused exercise are
relaxed and listen attentively, improving their learning capability."
"We offer a focused exercise program using treadmills designed specifically for dogs
followed by time in the indoor off leash as a reward. While the dogs interact in the off
leash area, their owners are mentored, learning more about dogs' social behaviour
plus skills to enhance their relationship with their canine companion."
The Pitchfest was a first of its kind contest held by Glinda Girls Inc. to support
Canadiam women entrepreneurs, helping them evolve their 'big business ideas' into
reality.
