While out for a walk in the winter freeze Kaytie realized how difficult it is for dog owners to maintain a regular, healthy exercise routine for their dogs — in any season.
The following vision emerged:
To Share her passion of deepening the bond between dog and owner.
To increase dog owners’ awareness of how significant regular, focused exercise is and the visible, tangible results it brings. The results are quickly obvious – their dogs listen better and are more attentive.
To reward the now calmer and relaxed dog with fun, supervised off-leash social time. The owner can see and learn more about K9 pack behavior, and better understand their own dog, increasing the bond between them.
To provide an all year indoor centre for dog owners to exercise their K9 companions.
To solve the dilemma of enough exercise for dogs when circumstances don't allow the opportunity. There are times when we just can’t walk our K9 companions due to injury, either dog or orwner, time constraints, weather, health issues, high energy dogs who need something extra. Providing a year round facility where dogs can exercise and socialize, alleviating this dilemma, seemed an excellent solution. And, it avoids the build up of dog behavioural issues which develop from pent up or frustrated energy.
The vision became K9 Awareness!
