WHERE DID WE COME FROM?
The Vision for K9 Awareness came to Kaytie Stack, one cold wintery day while out walking, that someone should open an indoor exercise facility for dog owners to come and give their dogs the right amount of exercise. This idea evolved into one of the best dog daycares and training facility in the Great Edmonton area.
In October of 2009, All Season K9 Awareness Centre opened its doors. In the spring of 2010 the Centre began taking dogs for daycare to meet the high demand in St. Albert and area. In 2013, K9 Awareness was the winner of the Outstanding Business Award for St. Albert.
In October 2022, after 13 years, Kaytie is retiring and handing over the “leashes” to new owner, Terra MacLean. Terra has loved dogs all her life and has been training for over 15 years. She has a passion for helping rescue dogs and owns an animal sanctuary “Ferne’s Acres Animal Sanctuary” which includes, 17 sanctuary dogs, a miniature horse, a horse, a cow, chickens, goats, a pig and cats.
Our goal is, and will continue to be, to provide a safe indoor and outdoor dog daycare for our clients dogs of all ages, shapes, and sizes and to provide dog training classes offering the best information about science based canine development.
